i've decided i haven't been good at taking photos. i get in the mood and then forget about it for 2 - 3 weeks. so, this year i am going to take at least a photo day and post them to my Flickr account. i hope to take more than 1, but i'll just pick 1 to add to my 2011/365 set. sometimes it'll be photos of the family or photos of something symbolic of the day or perhaps i view we enjoyed or a meal that was memorable. whatever, i am taking a photo a day. not really a new year's resolution as much as it's a new hobby.

alright . . . you are allowed to post 1 photo a day to this thread. more than 1 person can post per day, but each person can only add 1 photo. descriptions are optional. everyone is welcome to play. at the end of the year, we'll have a lot of photos of the the days in the life of our community.

EDIT: well, i went to delete 1 of my photos and i can no longer edit . . . so i cheated already. ;~)

One a day is going to be tough. I can take a photo every day, often take many, but the chore of posting. If I can get this more scripted I'll do it.

My first one, a rock quarry we hiked to on New Years Day.


I didn't do a good job getting the profile but there is a face in the rock edge there (and also a woman's face in his forehead. We haike under the first ever keystone bridge of the Americas to get there. Really still held up only by gravity.

let's fix that . . . you can post as many photos as you like as long as you don't duplicate days. i can't imagine getting photos edited and uploaded daily. i connect to my computer maybe once or twice a week at the most -- often longer than that.

but, i wish we could have hiked today. people left our house last night around 12:30 AM. it was 55 degrees then. i woke up and it was 35 and dropped from there with a strong north wind. meh.
