four blades X 12 TB X 192 GB RAM

The biotech I am involved with got a new box announced today with the above specs handling the data. But tomorrow another company is announcing something that is going to blow it out of the water.

Sometimes it sucks to be cutting edge. The Mac I have under my desk has that processor. OK I don't have 12 TB and 192 GB of memory times four but 32 GB of RAM does it for me now.

45th Anniversary of Moore's Law is April 19. Glad to see it is alive and still working.


ps. Hmm, bad reporting. Can't be sure there are 192GB on each blade or that is total for four blades. 48GB RAM per blade is less impressive.
